Live arts locally in Kent & Sussex. At the heart of Applauses work is community enjoyment and artistic excellence. Most Applause performances are made possible with the help of volunteers who book events for their local venue and bring their community together to experience professional and inspiring performances. Applause works with companies and artists to help tour and develop their work and to introduce them to audiences in a relaxed and shared space. Having access to excellent art is something we believe should be possible without extensive and expensive travel to major towns and cities. In fact, by not being located in these traditional cultural centres Applause offers shared experiences that have their own unique character and value.
